This report is based on legal and paralegal support to the distressed and destitute migrant workers and their families in 2017. CMIR supported 480 cases in this year.

Majority of cases handled by CMIR in 2017 were about seeking assistance to return back to Nepal,  problem related to unethical recruitment and breach of contract by the Sponsor.

Majority of cases handled by CMIR in 2016 were about assisting family to bring back dead body of migrant workers, problem related to unethical recruitment and breach of contract by the Sponsor.

This report is based on a year of legal and paralegal support to the distressed and destitute migrant workers and their families. CMIR supported 600+ cases in 2015.

CMIR uses its wide-spread relations with national and international line agencies, migrant rights and human rights institutions, regional and global networks, partners, Diaspora group, UN agencies and individuals to support the migrant workers.
