Basanta Ghimire

         Program Officer

Basanta is the Program Officer at Center for Migration and International Relations (CMIR). In this role, he focuses on education program and IEC (Information Education and Communication) material development and dissemination program of CMIR.

Basanta’s experience spans the government and non-profit sectors. Prior to joining CMIR, Basanta worked at Community Multimedia Center as a field supervisor at Palpa district for Information and Communication Technology (ICT) program run by UNCESO Delhi. He also served as a secondary level teacher at government school. He is one of the founder and secretariat of Kartabya Foundation Nepal, a non-profit organization works in the area of youth empowerment in Palpa district, Nepal.

Basanta holds his Master degree in Sociology and Bachelor degree in Science and Technology from Tribhuvan University, Nepal.
